BRINN MEMORIAL TROPHY
DONATED BY JEAN & DAVE HENDERSON in 1991

NYRRAE GOLDENMADOCK (aka BRINN) – GOLDEN RETRIEVER whelped November 1984

"Brinn was a gift from Val Rayner at the beginning of 1985, partly in thanks for looking after his litter of 10 and partly because it was near my birthday which I was trying to forget. Brinn was a gorgeous dog, the epitome of the loving, laid-back Golden. We thought we might try some Retrieving with him, but he seemed more interested in lying on his back getting his tummy tickled. However, at the age of three it all clicked and we entered a few trials with some success, and a win in the final Gundog Club of WA trial of 1988 held good prospects for the future. Sadly, it was not to be, and due to the rapid deterioration of a previously controlled problem we had to say goodbye to our much loved companion. At that time there were no trophies for the lower levels of Retrieving, so we decided to provide a trophy for the last Gundog Club of WA Novice Trial of the year – a lasting tribute to our quiet achiever.” Jean Henderson.

Awarded to the winner of the last Gundog Club of WA Novice Stake of the year.
